Christmas Offering
The goal of our annual Christmas Offering is to provide 2-3 weeks of nutritious food and Christmas presents to those living in poverty. Each year since 1979, the Humanitarian Service Project has served needy families & senior citizens in this program.
Christmas 2011
We served 1,616 children! 100 of these families received 3 weeks’ worth of groceries and five gifts per child. In total, we distributed 21 tons of food and 21 tons of toys! Thank you to everyone who made this a success!
How You Can Help With Christmas:
Organize A Gift-Giving Tree. We give you the names and ages of needy children, along with wish list items. You purchase and wrap at least one new toy or gift for each child and bring your presents to our center where we will distribute them to the families. We suggest a $25 minimum value for each toy for Christmas.

Collect Non-Perishable Food. We distribute non-perishable food to needy seniors and Christmas families. Can you help us by organizing a food drive? See our Food Drive Suggestions for ideas.
Organize a Book Drive. In addition to new toys and games, all of the children receive new books. Contact us and we will provide you with ages and genders of children who need your help this holiday season.
Plan a Toy Drive. New toys and gifts are needed for hundreds of impoverished children. Gifts for 8-15 year-olds are most needed. Please see our list of Suggested Toys for ideas.
Sponsor a Family. With your support, we are able to purchase food in bulk so that each family will have 2-3 weeks worth of groceries: 7 selections of frozen meats, 15 fresh produce selections, and 4-5 25-pound boxes of non-perishables. Each child receives at least 5 gifts for under the tree.
Sponsorships are available for $60 per family. Click here to sign up.
