HSP Partners with Network for Good
HSP has partnered with Network for Good in order to allow our donors to pay online. The mission of Network for Good is to make it “as easy to donate online as it is to shop.”
Accredited by the Better Business Bureau, Network for Good has generated $472 million dollars for approximately 50,000 different non-profits to date!
Some of our donors have asked about the 5% fee added to each donation made through the Network for Good website. This fee goes towards covering the cost of processing transactions, providing customer support, and fund distribution. This 5% fee is added to the donation to ensure that 100% of the donation goes directly towards HSP! If you wish, you can deduct the 5% fee from what you would have been donating to HSP so that your actual payment will be what you expected to donate.
This partnership allows more of your dollars to go directly to serving the needy in our community since Network for Good can process payments at a lower overall cost than the HSP could in-house. The cost of paying an IT staff to maintain our own secure website for processing credit cards and the bank fees for handling the payments are excessive. The rules and regulations are also becoming more stringent in order to protect online users. Since Network for Good is also a charitable organization, your total out of pocket expense is tax deductible. Thank you for thinking of the Humanitarian Service Project.
