Christmas Offering

The Goal of our Annual Christmas Offering is to provide a more joyful and meaningful holiday experience for DuPage's most needy.

Each year since 1979, The Humanitarian Service Project has sponsored a Christmas Offering to provide several weeks worth of food and Christmas presents for needy families and senior citizens in DuPage County.

Christmas 2006

We served 100 families with a total of 442 children. Each family received a months' worth of groceries and an average of five gifts per child. In total, we distributed 23 tons of food - the most ever! Thank you to everyone who made this a success!

How You Can Help
With Christmas 2007

Organize A Gift Giving Tree!

We give you the names, ages, and wish lists of needy children. You purchase and wrap new toys and gifts for each child.

Collect Non-Perishable Food!

We distribute over 23 tons of non-perishable food to needy seniors and Christmas families. Please help us by having your own collection. See Food Drive Suggestions.

Organize a Book Drive!

In addition to new toys and games all of the children receive brand new books. Call us for list of names and ages of children to supply brand new books for.

Plan a Toy Drive!

New toys and gifts are needed for 1,400 impoverished children. Toys for 8 - 12 year olds are most needed. Please see list of suggested toys.

Sponsor a Family!
