At the time I did not know how I was going to be able to buy him a birthday present. One day the door-buzzer to my apartment rang and the gentleman replied, "I have a package for you." I thought, "Not Me! I don’t get packages." As he was carrying the huge box out of the U.P.S. truck I still kept thinking "wrong apartment, wrong person" until I saw "Happy Birthday Brett" on it and the return address. My mouth dropped and I started to cry and thank God. Brett opened his presents a day before his birthday (couldn’t wait) :) Everything was wonderful and you all put a HUGE smile on my little boys face. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart." Richard and his wife were overwhelmed with the quality of the packages and the joy that it brought his family. Even though this program does not help with the daily necessities of the household, it helps with the overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the family by providing such joy without and expectations. The thoughtfulness and personal touch gives a family energy and hope for the future." Julie B.
